Greetings SAHA Residents and Homeowners,

The weather appears to be shifting for the better and as spring finally begins to take root, there are a few things that all of us need to keep in mind:

All roadside vegetation within 8 feet from the edge of the road must be kept trimmed down. This includes trees, tree branches, grass, etc. Lower tree branches extending towards the roads must be removed to maintain a vertical clearance of at least 12 feet above the asphalt. Complying with these guidelines will help maintain the visibility around sharp turns as well as reduce the threat of wild fires.

Over the winter, your gutters may have filled up with pine needles, leaves and other flammable debris. Now would be a great time to inspect and clean your gutters.

Stay in tune with the weather forecasts. This is typically the time of year folks want to burn yard debris and as long as there is no burn ban and you have a permit, you can do so. But occasionally, we experience unseasonably dry weather during spring, and Red Flag Warnings will be issued.
