Several government agencies in both Washington and Oregon have declared a RED FLAG WARNING for this Friday and Saturday, September 9th and 10th.
This means we now have to be even MORE careful with fire, as the predicted low humidity and high temperatures generated by a seasonal wind shift from the East will raise our regional fire risks to the highest levels.
This warning means:
  1. NO outdoor fires of any kind, including recreational firepits
  2. NO gender reveal explosions
  3. Be extra-extra careful with BBQ grilling –  never leave unattended
  4. Be careful with steel garden tools (hitting a rock has a potential of generating a spark)
  5. Watch where you drive your car, some parts of SAHA roads are not yet free of roadside grass
  6. Also be extra careful with lawn tractors and lawn mowers
  7. A backup water supply is a good idea. If you have a generator, be sure it can run your well pump.
